À la découverte d’un univers artistique vibrant : Isabelle PALACIN
Née à Tours, en France, en 1965, peintre autodidacte, je nourris depuis l’enfance une passion pour le dessin et les couleurs.
Ma première émotion artistique remonte à mes 5 ans, lorsque je me suis promenée près de l’atelier d’Alexander Calder à Saché, un moment magique où ses œuvres semblaient vibrer autour de moi. Cependant, ce n’est que bien plus tard que j’ai choisi la peinture à l’huile pour exprimer ma propre sensibilité.
Un voyage artistique à travers les techniques
Au fil des années, j’ai suivi des cours et participé à des retraites artistiques pour explorer d’autres techniques telles que l’acrylique, le collage et l’aquarelle, ajoutant ainsi une nouvelle dimension à ma palette.
Des influences lumineuses
Mon travail est imprégné de la lumière éclatante de Van Gogh et de la liberté de couleur des Fauves, tels que Matisse, Vlaminck ou Derain, ces grands maîtres, parmi tant d’autres, m’accompagnent sur mon chemin créatif.
Une invitation à explorer
Chacune de mes créations est une fenêtre ouverte sur mon univers, une histoire racontée, inspirée par mes voyages et rencontres de l'Afrique à l’Asie, en passant par le Moyen Orient et le Maghreb.
A la fois exalté et concentré, mon travail est un mélange de peinture intuitive et figurative. Le portrait, principalement féminin, s’est imposé à moi comme un jeu de miroirs où l’identité et la différence de l’autre se reflètent. Par une succession de collages et de transparences, je cherche à transmettre l’émotion d’un visage et à capturer un peu de son âme au -delà des apparences …

Born in Tours, France, in 1965, I am a self-taught painter with a lifelong passion for drawing and colors.
My first artistic emotion dates back when I was five years old, as I walked near Alexander Calder’s studio in Saché—a magical moment where his works seemed to vibrate around me. However, it was only much later that I chose oil painting to express my own sensibility.
An Artistic Journey Through Techniques
Over the years, I have taken courses and participated in artistic retreats to explore other techniques such as acrylic, collage, and watercolor, adding new dimensions to my palette.
Luminous Influences
My work is deeply inspired by the radiant light of Van Gogh and the bold color freedom of the Fauves, such as Matisse, Vlaminck, and Derain. These great masters, among many others, still guide me along my creative path.
An Invitation to Explore
Each of my creations is an open window into my universe, a story told and inspired by my travels and encounters—from Africa to Asia, passing through the Middle East and the Maghreb.
Both exalted and focused, my work is a blend of intuitive and figurative painting. The portrait, primarily women, has naturally emerged as a mirror game where identity and otherness reflect upon each other. Through layers of collage and transparencies, I seek to convey the emotion of a face and capture a glimpse of its soul beyond the appearances.
